Consultation has concluded

Predicting the future is fraught with problems. Yet this is what we all want to know so we are well prepared for the challenges and opportunities it provides.

Events over the past few years, both global and locally have led the City of Mount Gambier to ask:

  • Is what we have done in the past going to sustain our community and economy into the future?
    and
  • What do we need to do to change or introduce to ensure that our community and economy are sustainable into the future?

Developed by the City of Mount Gambier with community input, 'Strategies for a Prosperous and Resilient Mount Gambier: A Futures Paper for City Development' looks forward and focuses on these questions.

You, as a member of the community of the City of Mount Gambier, are a part of this discussion and we encourage you to review the draft Futures Paper, before thinking about and telling us your plans and aspirations for the future. We also encourage you to talk about the draft Futures Paper with your family, friends and work collegues.

So how can you have your say?

“Strategies for a Prosperous and Resilient Mount Gambier: A Futures Paper for City Development” is on public consultation from Friday 1st August, 2014 until Friday 29th August, 2014. We want to hear from you.

If you would like further information about the Futures Paper, please contact Mrs Tracy Tzioutziouklaris, Strategic Project Officer by telephone (08) 8721 2530 or by email tracyt@mountgambier.sa.gov.au.
