The Disability Inclusion Act 2018 (SA) requires the Council to develop a Disability Access and Inclusion Plan (DIAP) in line with the Inclusive SA: State Disability Inclusion Plan 2019 - 2023.
The first City of Mount Gambier Disability Access and Inclusion Plan has been developed through consultation with our community and staff, addressing priority areas within our community and providing awareness of disability and equitable access and inclusion.
The purpose for the Plan is to outline our commitment to the continuous review and development of information, services and facilities to ensure equitable access and inclusion for all within our community. Our DAIP has been structured in line with the Inclusive SA: State Disability Inclusion Plan 2019 - 2023 themes and priority areas:
