Have your say on the Draft 2020-2024 Strategic Plan.

The City of Mount Gambier has released its Draft 2020-2024 Strategic Plan and is now seeking feedback from the community.

Council is committed to listening and responding to the concerns and ideas of the community, and we endeavour to make it easy and convenient for members of our community to share their views on the forthcoming Draft 2020-2024 Strategic Plan.

The previous strategic plan (Community Plan – The Futures Paper 2016-2020) was developed with significant community engagement and research. Council has chosen to refresh this plan continuing to build upon its successes and further embed the themes within the Council and the community.

The vision for the 2020-2024 Strategic Plan is an “An inclusive city where people lead fulfilling lives" is supported by key actions and relationships centred around five key themes:

  • Goal 1 - Our People
  • Goal 2 - Our Location
  • Goal 3 - Our Diverse Economy
  • Goal 4 - Our Climate, Natural Resources, Arts Culture and Heritage
  • Goal 5 - Our Commitment

The strategies and actions featured in the plan will guide the Council over the next four years and serve as a blueprint to build a progressive, knowledge based city that embraces new technologies, culture and sustainable living.
