Consultation has concluded

The City of Mount Gambier wanted to find out about your experiences and preferences in relation to cycling in Mount Gambier.

This consultation aimed to explore:

  • What motivates you to cycle?
  • What barriers you've encountered?
  • What are the current conditions for cycling, particularly regarding accessibility and safety?

Your input and feedback will helped us in the preparation of recommendations to Council for future cycling infrastructure and cycling related projects.

Input was caputred by:

  • Completing a survey
  • Dropping a pin on our interactive map to highlight strengths, weaknesses and improvement opportunities relating to cycling in Mount Gambier.

  • This survey is for you to let Council know about your preferences and experiences in relation to cycling in Mount Gambier, with some specific questions about the Rail Trail. 

    The Rail Trail is the shared cycling/walking pathway that currently runs from Jubilee Highway in the west of Mount Gambier to Pick Avenue in the east, along the old rail line.

    For the purpose of this survey "bike paths" are paths for bicycles that are separate from motor traffic (i.e. not on roads).

    All completed surveys will go into the draw to win a $50 voucher from Daktari cycling shop. To be eligible make sure to fill in your contact details.
