The Mount Gambier Edible City project aims to assist in the development of a local food culture for Mount Gambier – where many residents grow their own food, and also support local food producers.
The project will involve running a series of workshops focused on the various aspects of home food production – from the basics through to more involved topics. These will give people the skills to grow their own food.
The City of Mount Gambier acknowledges the efforts of the community who are committed to strengthening food security across our City and envisages that an informal network could develop out of the program where people make their own connections with other food growers and build resilience within the community.
